I’m an expert in organizing and coordinating mid-size to large international meetings, incentive trips, conferences, and other business events. I’m always going the extra mile, not only focusing on cost savings, contract negotiations, and the tiniest details, but mostly on client satisfaction. For me, the client always comes first!
My experience in the travel and events industry covers around 30 years, of which I spent 15 working for the international Meetings & Events department of American Express in Amsterdam, in the position of Senior MICE Project Manager. It was my responsibility to organize mostly complex, tailor-made incentive trips and events abroad, such as conferences, sales meetings, etc.
As Conference Events Manager at the association WYSE Travel Confederation, I was responsible for the organization and delivery of their annual conferences. I also worked as an Event Manager for the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).
More recently at Schiphol Travel International, it was my responsibility to organize and book trips for TV productions and business groups, among other business meetings & events. At the Destination Management Company Partners & SAM! I gained lots of experience with several niche services for incoming business and touristic groups, such as transportation, dine-around bookings, and exclusive venues during large congresses, as well as incentive groups, luxury packages for high-end guests, and other group services within the Netherlands and Europe.

Graduating from the AVR Reisbureau Vakschool in The Hague, I was named Best Overall Student of my class. During my career at American Express, I received the 2011 Business Travel Pacesetter Award for Best Meeting Planner in the Benelux region.

The business-to-business conferences World Youth & Student Travel Conference (WYSTC), World Educational Travel Market & International Aupair Conference (WETM-IAC), and STAY WYSE Conference (hostel conference) of WYSE Travel Confederation (venue sourcing, full event planning & DMC service)
With this huge dosage of experience, I decided to start my own business and join HelmsBriscoe in February 2021. HB is the market leader in venue procurement for meetings & events all over the world. I’m using HB’s extensive network as starting point for sourcing the right venue, while I offer my clients A to Z event planning services to make sure they don’t need to take care of anything with the event running smoothly. With this in mind, I also offer additional services such as local transportation, dinners, boat trips, delegate badges, setting up & hosting the delegate registration system etc. (also called DMC services).
